Knockoffs
This page features the Honk Kong solid Stuart knockoffs, as they are more easily mistaken for Stuarts than the hollow-bodied versions. I would like to thank Dawn Barcklay for the photographs, finding these knockoffs and acquiring one for comparison to Stuarts.
HOW TO IDENTIFY A HONG KONG STUART KNOCKOFF
White and red Hong Kong Stuart knockoff running horses have
been seen so far, solid bodied, and of the same material as Stuarts.
Hong Kong Stuart knockoff character "Roy" figures have
more narrowly spaced legs than a Stuart.
Look for less definition, no bridle notch behind the ear,
and Made in
Hong Kong on the rear right inside leg of HK Stuart standing horse knockoffs.
The Made in Hong Kong appears on an inside leg of the knockoff
Stuart rearing horses. Less detail definition, more narrow,
and no bridle notch behind the ears applies.
The Hong Kong Stuart pioneer knockoff, left, has more
narrowly-spaced feet and is slightly smaller.
