Knockoffs

The Honk Kong solid Stuart horse knockoffs are more easily mistaken for Stuarts than the hollow-bodied versions. I would like to thank Dawn Barcklay for these photographs, finding these knockoffs on eBay and acquiring one for comparison to Stuarts. Collectors known to have a "Stuart" red running horse were also contacted and all horses were discovered to be Hong Kong knockoffs. White and red Hong Kong Stuart knockoff running horses have been seen so far, which are solid bodied, have similar colors, and the same material as Stuarts. The photos on this page explain the difference.
