Knockoffs

Hong Kong solid Stuart horse knockoffs are more easily mistaken for Stuarts than the hollow-bodied versions. I would like to thank Dawn Barcklay for these photographs, finding these knockoffs on eBay and acquiring one for comparison to Stuarts. We contacted known collectors having a Stuart red running horse and all were discovered to be Hong Kong knockoffs to date. There has not been a Stuart red runner found to date nor seen in existing Stuart promotional material. White and red Hong Kong Stuart solid knockoff running and two versions of walking horses have been seen so far, which are solid bodied, have similar colors, and are the same material as Stuarts. The photos on this page explain the difference between a Stuart and a knockoff.

Stuart figure difference
Stuart knockoff figures have more
narrowly spaced legs than a Stuart.

Look for less definition, no bridle notch behind the ear, and Made in
Hong Kong on the rear right inside leg of this HK solid walking horse.
